A Farewell to Mary Ferris and Library Open House

Mary Ferris, our wonderful Church Librarian is retiring.  We will give our farewell blessings and love throughout the day on Sunday, October 11th.  Come say thank you to Mary and take a look around! There will be cake and coffee. 

Worship in the Patch

Join us for Worship in the Patch, a special outdoor Modern Worship service in the Pumpkin Patch! Come worship together surrounded by pumpkins, fall colors, and community, with music led by The Bridge Praise Team. Bring your family, invite a friend, and don’t forget to bring a chair!

Moody Methodist Day School Book Fair

The Day School will also have their Scholastic Book Fair. Purchases from the book fair help provide free books for teachers to use in their classrooms, making it a great way to support our teachers and encourage a love of reading. Come out and support a great cause! No cash, cards only!

Town Hall Meetings

Please come to one of our Town Hall meetings to hear about updates to our current board system. Our Impact Team will share our new leadership model. There will be a handout and a presentation.

Moody Midweek

Join us for friends, food, and fellowship on Wednesday nights. Programming includes adult bible studies, choir, plus student and children’s programs. A nursery is available until 7:30. All are welcome! Questions? Email Rev. Quinn Peters at qpeters@moody.org. Dinner will be meat and cheese lasagna with broccoli and sweet carrots. Meals are $10 for a large and $6 for a small. Pancake Dinner Fundraiser & Open House

The Moody Day School is hosting an open house for their families, and we’d love for you to join us! The Moody Parent Organization will be hosting the pancake dinner to help raise funds for teachers and staff events throughout the school year. Pancake Dinner - $8 per plate. Cash, card, and checks accepted.

Silent Disco In The Patch

We will have a glow silent disco party in patch for all ages! There will be glow necklaces, bracelets, and a light pizza supper. Everyone gets a set of headphones with a switch between 3 channels, each playing a different playlist, so the patch will be full of people singing out loud and dancing.

United Women in Faith

Join us for a lively discussion of Viola Davis’s inspiring book “Finding Me”, from our national UWF Reading Program list of books addressing contemporary social, spiritual, and global issues. Puppies in the Patch

Join us in partnership with the Galveston Island Humane Society! Meet adoptable puppies, learn about pet adoption, and enjoy a day in the patch. Adopt a puppy and receive a FREE pumpkin! Come make memories, support a great cause, and maybe even find your newest furry family member.

Trunk Or Treat

Want to join the fun? Sign up on the events page to decorate your car and hand out candy to our trick-or-treaters! Costumes, creative decorations, and festive trunks are highly encouraged. Park your Car and Trunk Decorating is 3:00–4:45 PM .
We also need plenty of candy for all our trick-or-treaters. Please donate unopened bags of Halloween candy by placing them in the clearly marked collection boxes located in the Atrium and Welcome Center. Questions? Contact Cheryl Clark at cclark@moody.org.

Chrysanna Circle

Walk to Emmaus
Enjoy a weekend of singing, learning, laughing, worshiping, reflecting, praying and participating in small groups. Listen to various talks given by laity and clergy and learn about God’s grace and how that grace comes alive in the Christian community and how it is expressed in the world.
